The gubernatorial primary is over. Governor Kathy Hochul won her Democratic primary and is seeking a full-term. Congressman Lee Zeldin won the Republican primary. In November, New Yorkers have a very important decision to make on who will lead the great State of New York.
The respective candidates have four months to convince New Yorkers that they will address rampant gun violence, out-of-control crime, unemployment, and the ongoing housing crisis. If these issues are not addressed, more New Yorkers will join the hundreds of thousands that have already left the state.
New Yorkers do not want empty promises. We want to know from Governor Hochul and Congressman Zeldin — What’s your plan to improve the lives of all New Yorkers? What’s your plan to protect our children and keep our communities safe?
In the four months leading up to the election, we hope to see Governor Hochul and Congressman Zeldin in our communities engaging us and not taking our vote for granted.
