These are unprecedented times in New York City. Public Safety is not improving. Children feel unsafe traveling to school so they bring weapons to protect themselves because the streets and subways are not safe. Women, mothers, and grandmothers are being attacked in the subway and killed on the street in broad daylight. Our police officers are assaulted in the street. No one is safe in New York City.

The rampant lawlessness, assaults, rapes, and gun violence in our city are getting worse. Our police officers are trying their best to protect us but the laws protect the criminals – not the victims or New Yorkers. Police officers are retiring in droves. We now have a shortage of police officers and a shortage of School Safety Agents.

Mayor Adams cannot change the law, only our state legislators and governor have the authority.

Mayor Adams can hire more police officers to patrol the streets, subways, and outside of schools. Adams can hire more School Safety Agents to protect our children in school. No school should have only one school agent.

Adams needs to Get Stuff Done.
